I miss AP Biology so much.

I’ve never been good at science my whole life. In 5th grade, I got a C in science on my report card. I’ve never even gotten an A in science class; never in middle school, never in high school. Yet I chose to challenge myself with AP Bio (mostly to get out of taking Physics, my most loathed subject) last year.
I almost got an A, meaning I got a B. Literally, if Mr. Foret had graded more fairly on any single assignment, I would’ve gotten an A. I was seriously that close. But I’ve never regretted or been truly upset. The grade didn’t/doesn’t matter to me. What’s important is all the stuff I learned.

Once walked up Washington/Vendeventer (the uphill princeton road with the fountain). It was spring and a beautiful cherry blossom landed on my shoulder. By counting the petals and examining the cross section of the stem without a microscope, I instantly concluded that it was a dicot and felt so freaking fulfilled. Who the hell does that?

I do. I still suck at science and probably bio, but that class has changed my life.

1) I look at everything through a wider scope. What is its purpose in life and on earth?

2) I don’t freak about my grade. I freak out if I didn’t understand what I “learned”.

3) I try my hardest even though I know the class favorite’s lab report is shittier than mine and will receive the A.

4) I don’t dislike “mean” teachers because like Mrs. Werner, Mr. Foret has prepared me for college and the real world. Life just isn’t fair, complain some then deal with it.

I got such a kick out of reading about “boring science” last year and I can’t wait to have more life changing classes like AP Bio next year at Stern.

Finally saw No Strings Attached last week, snuggled up in a warm bed. The movie was so cute!!!

I love awkward moments—they fuel me. Cute and awkward guys, now those are the best. Cute, awkward, corny guys… hehe!
